Contact Us for more information!

As a public charter school, enrollment is by lottery for each grade level. The enrollment process is outlined below. If you are interested in a tour or in enrolling your child, click this link to Contact Us.

Post-Lottery Enrollment

As a regional charter school, we accept all Pennsylvania students. There is no audition or interview required. To register or be added to a waiting list, parents must provide: a valid state identification card with photo (such as driver's license), 2 proofs of residency*, the child's birth certificate and immunization records.

Transportation: Students residing in a public school district located within a 10 mile radius of Allentown School District (ASD) will be provided transportation by their home district. Students residing within Allentown School District may qualify for transportation if they live beyond the 1.5 mile boundary for walkers.

Class Size: We have four classrooms at each grade level and will enroll up to 80 students per grade level. Arts Academy ECS has an agreement with ASD regarding an enrollment cap of 350 ASD students.

Students are enrolled by grade level

1. Siblings of students who are currently enrolled at AAECS, living in the same address.

2. Students from Allentown School District (our chartering district) if enrollment is under the ASD cap.

3. Students from other school districts. Note: if there is a waiting list of ASD students due to the enrollment cap, ONLY students from other districts may enroll.

Upon conclusion of the lottery, the grade level lists and wait lists for those that exceed the number of openings, will be compiled. All families will be notified of their position in the wait list or will be invited to enroll. Throughout the summer, as students are enrolled, families will be contacted if they move from the wait list to an available seat.

* The types and number of proofs of residency require will vary by the child's resident school district.
